Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe believes that Callum Wilson will continue to silence critics in a black and white shirt - and has made it clear the striker can't be sold this summer.
Wilson scored his 10th of the season at Burnley in the 4-1 win and looked lively in the final third. The number 9 did so in front of watching England boss Gareth Southgate who was in the stands at Turf Moor to run the rule over the former Coventry centre-forward.

Wilson also climbed above Peter Beardsley in Newcastle's all-time Premier League scoring charts to take his tally to 47. He now has just Alan Shearer ahead of him on 148 goals in this competition.
Despite suggestions he could be a good sale this summer to ease PSR and FFP worries, Howe has warned he will cost a big price to replace. Howe, speaking after the big win at Burnley, said: "Write Callum off at your peril, for sure. He comes back time and time again and is a very motivated player he wants to do his best in every moment. I have managed him for a long time and mentality wise I would not swap him.
"When he has a focus and a goal he will go for it. Of course, I want him at the club next season or course. I will do everything I can to make that happen."
When asked whether Wilson should be on the plane for Germany for the European Championships in a few weeks, Howe said: "Gareth will make his own assessment on what he has seen but he has done himself no harm."
Newcastle currently sit in sixth spot in the Premier League but could mathematically still grab fifth if Tottenham Hotspur continue to implode in the run-in. Howe said: "I’ve said from a long time ago we were determined to give our all to finish as high as possible. "With ten games to go we tried to reset our targets and since the international break we’ve seen a big improvement in our performances and we need to keep that going into the last three games."
